Statement of Priorities

Fareham Methodist Church

Fareham Methodist Church is an active church both in the church community and in the wider Fareham area.

We enjoy a variety of worship styles. We share weekly services including all age and accompanied by Junior Fun Church for the children. Messy church meets monthly and shares active worship. We have strong lay leadership in the church. Sunday morning services are hybrid, this enables folk unable to attend to join with us.  Fareham is registered for same sex marriage.

Fareham has a strong pastoral team, We have robust safeguarding procedures in place. We offer prayer support through Healing prayers and monthly prayer circle. We work with people on the fringes.

Our church takes an active role in Christians together in Fareham. We join with Lent House groups, Walk of witness on Good Friday,  and with Youth together in Fareham for the annual holiday club, and monthly PFZ (parent free zone) activities. We have close links with the United Reformed church, sharing services throughout the year and at Christmas.

We support the Fareham food bank and Fareham College. We have links with a project in the Ukraine. We run Monday mini market and coffee centre, offering support to the local area. We hold monthly lunches. There is a weekly parent and toddler session offering young parents help and care. The church building is hired by a variety of user groups from the local area.

In 3 years we would like to continue to develop as a welcoming and inclusive church community being particularly mindful of those most in need.
