Dear friends in Christ,

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Psalm 27:14 (NRSV)

The women you see in the photo are Roma women from the United Methodist Church congregation in Abony near Szolnok in Hungary. Dr Daleep Mukarji, vice president designate of the Methodist Church in Britain and Roy Crowder, Europe partnership coordinator, visited the Roma community in Hungary at the end of April. During their visit they spent time with Roma people, listening to their struggles and hopes, learning about what the United Methodist Church congregation there is doing to support them. The Methodist Church in Britain supports this work through the Fund for Mission in Europe, which you can read more information on here.

This encapsulates some of the marvellous work that God is doing all over the world through partner churches, who are supporting the marginalised and helping communities take courage amidst their situation by extending to them the hand of love, grace, friendship and hope.

Let us continue to pray that all of God’s people around the world will continue to take heart as they wait upon the Lord, and that by doing so they will be strengthened to continue fighting the good fight of faith.

Wishing you every blessing,

The World Church Relationships Team.
